Volunteer Recruitment for the 2024 Prison City Film Festival is Open!

Welcome to the 2024 Prison City Film Festival!

PCFF can’t run without an army of fantastic volunteers. And, while this work is unpaid, we’re confident that it will be worth your while.

Not only is it a good way to see an important side of the independent film industry, but you’ll have an amazing opportunity to meet like-minded people, and network with industry professionals.

We will recruit volunteers, who, when not on duty, will have access to all of the regular screenings, presentations, and galas at the Old Town Theatre throughout the course of the four day event. There will be a ton of screenings, VIP Presentations, and a spectacular Gala at this year’s PCFF.

IMPORTANT: Please note that you must be at least 18, and able to commit to a minimum of 6 hours over the course of the four (4) day event to be considered. The event is Wednesday February 28, through Saturday March 2, 2024.

VOLUNTEER TERMS & CONDITIONS – By submitting this form, I affirm that I am at least 18 years of age, and I agree to the Terms & Conditions set forth for volunteering my services and skills. The duration of this agreement is the period of time related directly to the current festival year under which this agreement is made. It is not an extended agreement, and will not carry over from one annual event to the next. Each new festival year begins with the necessity for ALL volunteers to adhere to a new agreement specific to that particular festival year. TERMS – Prison City Film Festival will be identified as “PCFF” in this document. OTHERS – Staff, Volunteers, Committees, and Supervisors of PCFF will be known as “PCFF ASSOCIATES.” VOLUNTEERS – By filling out the required fields of the online or offline Volunteer Application, and, upon receipt of your application, You, the applicant, will be considered for recruitment as a VOLUNTEER of PCFF, you will be interviewed, and, if accepted, added to the official PCFF roster of VOLUNTEERS. VOLUNTEERING is defined here as receiving an assignment from PCFF Management, or a PCFF Supervising ASSOCIATE, as directly related to PCFF and its activities, and actively engaging in those assignments for a minimum of six hours, whether consecutively, or intermittently. Proof of completion may be generated by PCFF Management, or a PCFF Supervising ASSOCIATE. PRIVACY – Refer to the official PCFF Privacy Policy found at www.PrisonCityFilmFestival.com/wp/index.php/Privacy-Policy. REMUNERATION – You agree that your services shall be performed strictly on a Voluntary basis, and that there is no promise of monetary remuneration. However, after a minimum of six (6) hours of service, PCFF will recognize your efforts with an official PCFF letter and certificate of Volunteer Completion, and a Pass to ALL Regular Screenings, Theatre Events, and Presentations, good for when you are not officially on duty. This Pass currently has an approximate value of $340.00, but, is subject to certain seating restrictions and availability. There shall be no additional monetary remuneration or payment of any kind for your services in this regard. INJURY AND LIABILITY – By agreeing to the Terms & Conditions set forth, I am releasing PCFF and PCFF ASSOCIATES of any liability, threat or injury incurred while serving as a volunteer. I understand that in case of any injury, PCFF Management, PCFF ASSOCIATES, or bystanders will assist me by contacting emergency services and following up with any emergency contact that I provide. Failure on my part to provide an emergency contact, or to provide an updated emergency contact, or to provide a working number for an emergency contact, releases PCFF and PCFF ASSOCIATES of any action that may come from the failure to reach my emergency contact. CONFIDENTIALITY & NON-DISCLOSURE – PCFF may require you to view, handle, generate or interact with identifying information pertaining to filmmakers, guests, volunteers, funders, celebrities, or other film industry representatives. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you may not use any of the identifying information to electronically, physically, or verbally share with any non-PCFF ASSOCIATES, nor may you use the information to directly contact the aforementioned individuals or groups for personal gain, or for information for competing groups without the expressed written consent of the aforementioned individuals, or their official representatives. Failure to comply with the PCFF’s confidentiality and nondisclosure gives PCFF the right to terminate your volunteer agreement, and prevent you – or any other individuals involved, from further volunteer opportunities with PCFF, and the right for PCFF, PCFF ASSOCIATES, and/or the aforementioned individuals to pursue any necessary legal action. REPRESENTATION AS A VOLUNTEER – You may identify yourself as a VOLUNTEER on resumes, personal promotion, etc., and may refer to PCFF as a reference for such upon completion of six (6) or more hours of assigned work by PCFF Management, or a PCFF Supervising ASSOCIATE. Completed volunteer work may be approved in writing by PCFF Management, or PCFF Supervising ASSOCIATE in the form of an official letter outlining your completion of volunteer service. REPORTING WRONG DOING OR OTHER ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES – It is within the right of PCFF Management to report any wrong doing, or illegal activities to the proper authorities, or security services, and to have you removed, arrested, or reported. PCFF Management will report and prosecute for physical, verbal, mental attacks, and abuse of its staff, volunteers, and/or guests. We will report any individual or group who is being actively pursued by the authorities, and we will provide any contact information submitted by the individual, or a third party witness. Other illegal activities that threaten or harm guests, PCFF ASSOCIATES, other staff, or proximate groups or individuals will be reported, and, in the case of injury or harm inflicted, prosecuted.
