ABILENE tells the story of a marriage at a crossroads. Paul and Claudia have been together since college. They’ve built a life of upper-middle-class comfort and have settled into a routine. Fear and distrust enter into their relationship when Paul loses his job and begins to doubt not only himself but in his love for Claudia. Enter Elena Robles, a colleague of Claudia’s, an off-again, off-again friend. A casual encounter with Elena causes Paul to question everything about his life. With a fox haunting the garden around the house, it may or may not know the secrets that lie within. Sometimes you need to go backwards in order to find your way. Sometimes love is just a memory.
