Anyhing Helps
When a young woman is beside herself trying to help a homeless man, nothing can go right for her in this comedic story of unlikely friends.
A young filmmaker from Seattle, Washington, Katie’s love for filmmaking began in high school, where she experimented by making music videos with friends. She would then go on to compete in the FBLA Digital Video Production competition, placing 4th in the state of Washington in 2022 and qualifying for the national competition in Chicago. She now attends Baylor University in Waco, TX, where she pursues a degree in Film & Digital Media. In Waco, Katie works as a sports videographer for Baylor University and as videographer for the Golden Wave Marching Band.
My favorite stories are ones that magically weave the opposing forces of comedy and drama together. I approached “Anyhing Helps” in hopes to do just that. When I sat down to write, I considered how we can only see the ridiculousness of a situation once we take a step back. This film is a reminder to never take life too seriously, and enjoy curveballs as a part of the ride.
