Confrontation
Two distant brothers have an unexpected conversation after their father has passed away.
Glenn Maxwell (born November 24th, 2000) is a filmmaker from Austin, TX. Although originally born is Las Vegas, Glenn has called Texas home for a decade and has recently finished his first non-student short film, Confrontation. He graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Media Arts in Spring 2022 and has been working as a Camera Prep Technician at MPS Studios Austin while creating short films in his free time.
Confrontation is my first short film out of film school and it’s the most personal story I’ve written yet. While my short is about two brothers dealing with their father’s death, my father is still alive and I am an only child. What made me want to create this story is the emotions I faced while I took care of my grandma in her final years during my time in high school. Creating this project felt very therapeutic in getting some emotions out that I found suppressed in myself after all of these years. I hope this comes across on screen and that my story can bring that peace I found to any audience who sees it.
