The Martini Shot
This existential drama follows an ailing movie director as he begins to shoot what he believes to be his final work of art. What starts out as a normal movie, ends up being an exploration of mortality and one’s profound effect on the world.
Stephen is one of Canada’s fastest rising directors and screenwriters with 4 films coming out in 2024 including the Martini Shot with Matthew Modine, Derek Jacobi and John Cleese. Currently, preparing to shoot Cut the Painter with John Cleese from a script he wrote with Cleese and A Trip Amongst The Lights with Elodie Yung, Derek Jacobi, Alfie Allen and Graham Greene.
The Martini shot is a different type of film than most are used to seeing nowadays. It’s a surreal look at the human side of a man who believes himself to be God. Trying his best to create art despite the difficulties that come with that. We’re all very pleased with the film and it’s believed by Matthew that it’s a career best performance and I have to concur. It’s a film that will make you think and open your heart.
