Director Statement

I wrote Mandatory Minimum with the intention of shedding light on the unjust system of the law, incarcerating minorities for non-violent, minimally involved crimes. My goal was to humanize a character who was involved with selling drugs, for the sole reason of saving his daughters life. I hope to put the audience in a “What would you do?” position.
