Prison Perspectives: Law Justice Redemption explores a variety of perspectives on the Texas correctional system. Highly regarded death penalty lawyer David Dow recounts his cases, US Rep. Director Biography – Franz Brotzen, Taylan Tuncata

Prison Perspectives was filmed and edited by two undergraduate students at Rice University. Franz Brotzen, a native Houstonian, is a sophomore studying Political Science. Taylan Tuncata, originally from Washington DC, is a sophomore majoring in Computational and Applied Mathematics.

Director Statement

We chose not to follow a linear storyline. Instead, using the power of storytelling, we aim to interrogate our audience’s conception of what makes a “violent criminal.” Both Taylan and I hope to make more projects in the future – all feedback is greatly appreciated.
