When Hannah finds a briefcase at her Amish farm containing a possible solution to her gravely ill mother’s medical condition,
a stranger named Steven shows up on her doorstep asking for her shunned brother Isaac. After Steven’s departure, Isaac shows up and strongly warns Hannah of the danger of Steven and possessing the briefcase, and what she needs to do with it. When Hannah’s father Samuel arrives back home from a visit with the bishop, Isaac flees, and Samuel takes possession of the briefcase. Torn between her brother’s and father’s different instruction for the briefcase, Hannah must decide and take action before the danger she was warned about manifests at her Amish farm.
Brandon Curless is a writer and director from Houston, TX. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Film, Radio, and Television at Baylor University in 2002. In 2012, Brandon started the company ‘Echo Pictures’ in Houston, TX, focusing on producing narrative and commercial content. He has written 4 and directed 10 short films narratives from 2013 to 2018. His short films have won multiple Remi Awards at ‘Worldfest International Film Festival’ in Houston, TX and an official selection at the ‘Texas Independent Film Festival’ in College Station, TX. Also, his film ‘Dreamland Murders, was picked up by ‘New World Cinemas’ and shown at the ‘Festival De Cannes’ in 2016. His most recent film ‘Rumspringa Prelude’, produced in 2018, will be entering the festival circuit in January 2019.
