Walking Point
A Marine is always faithful. So is man’s best friend. Walking Point centers around a young Marine, Private John Markle, and his donated canine companion, Duke. They must survive battle in the Pacific in order to fulfill the two promises he made prior to being shipped out.
Director Statement
Walking Point is my sophomore short film. We tackled many elements such as location moves that were thousands of miles away from one another, working with children, working with animals, working with weapons and explosives, all to create a historical war drama centered around love, loss, and victory. We not only wanted to make a film that doesn’t shy away from faith, family, and patriotism but we also wanted it to be a meaningful project that would allow us to give back to Military and Working Dog organizations in a charitable way through our crowdfunding efforts.
